The Gers u9s hosted a blitz on Monday evening where Kilkerley, Naomh Malachi and Sean O’ Mahonys were the visitors to the back pitch in McGeough Park. With a return to school looming around the corner for the lads, the Gers fielded 2 teams, with all receiving equal time to showcase their skills. Starting off slowly, the lads grew into the remaining games, and both teams finished off really strongly.

The focus this weeks was on blocking, high catching and as always tackling. Management again; are happy with their progress and will continue working with the squad to develop the fundamental sports skills inherent within Gaelic Football. Special thanks to the parents who supplied some goodies at the end of the blitz.
