Pieta House has invited the Geraldines and its members to play a crucial role in helping them make a difference in the lives of those struggling with suicidal ideation, self-harm, and individuals bereaved by suicide.

With this in mind, they are reaching out to invite us to take part in and join Pieta 24. 

July 24th is symbolic for Pieta, as it highlights the commitment to providing nationwide round-the-clock support through thier 24/7 freephone crisis helpline 1800 247 247 and thier 24/7 crisis therapy services.

These services are essential for individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, engaging in self-harm, or for those who are bereaved by suicide.
By taking on the Pieta 24 challenge, they will be helping continue to offer thier free lifesaving resources to those in need.  

On July 24, 2024, Pieta is inviting club members to participate in an important fundraising challenge by completing a 24KM or 24-hour challenge of your choice. Whether you choose to run, walk, cycle, swim, or create your unique challenge, your participation will help raise awareness and vital funds for Pieta’s services. 

1. Choose Your Challenge: 24KM Challenge: Run, walk, cycle, swim, or get creative with how you cover 24 kilometres. 
24-Hour Challenge: Whether it's 24-hour team football or hurling relay, 24-hour match or use your skills for another creative event.

Bring your team, club members and community together to take part.

2. Fundraise  - Encourage friends, family, and your community to support your challenge by donating to Pieta. Every euro raised goes directly to supporting our free 24/7 crisis services.  

3. Spread the Word  -  Share your journey on social media using the hashtag #Pieta24 and help raise awareness about Pieta’s mission and the importance of mental health support.
