π’βͺ WELCOME OUR NEW SENIOR FOOTBALL MANAGER β RONAN SEXTON βͺπ’
Geraldines GAA Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Ronan Sexton as our new Senior Football Manager.
Ronan brings a wealth of experience to the role, both as a player and as a coach.
As a player, Ronan enjoyed a highly successful career. He won two Down Minor Championships and Leagues, and was part of the Ulster and All-Ireland Minor winning team in 1999.
At senior club level, Ronan played in 11 county finals, winning 8 titles, and came agonisingly close to provincial success, losing two Ulster Club Finals to Crossmaglen and Ballinderry.
Ronan won a Sigerson Cup with UUJ in 2001, captained by Jim McGuinness, and represented Down Seniors for 11 seasons. His county honours include a Dr McKenna Cup in 2007, while he also featured in an Ulster Final in 2003 (lost to Tyrone) and an All-Ireland Final in 2010 (lost to Cork).
As a manager, Ronan has taken charge of Drumgath, Saval, and most recently his own club Mayobridge, gaining valuable experience at senior level.
We warmly welcome Ronan to Geraldines and wish him every success in the seasons ahead.
