***Geraldines GFC Club Notes***

Monday 21st January 2019

The club held the first of its 6 community walks on Thursday night under the Operation Transformation and Ireland Lights Up initiative. We had a good turnout of over 140 walkers and we hope to see them all again, and some more, this Thursday. Lights will be on from 7 – 8pm. Registration from 6.45 pm and tea and coffee will be available for all in the kitchen afterwards.

Our Youth Registration evening has been confirmed for Friday 8th February in the clubhouse. Please make a note of the date and keep it free. We will be doing a small presentation as well as giving out some spot prizes on the evening.

This past week saw a number of our underage teams hit the pitch for some training. Good turnouts were reported and the sessions were enjoyed by all. Good to blow off some of the cobwebs in mid-January thanks to the mild weather.

With the kind support of Frank Lynch & Company, https://twitter.com/FrankLynchCo , our Schools Development Programme is going well and continues this Friday in both St. Francis and St. Fursey’s schools. Feedback has been very positive.

Our Juvenile Winter Development Programme continues this Saturday @ DkIT Sports for all children in U8 and above.We continue to get high numbers attending. For some age groups this Saturday will be the final session. Please check with your coaches if unsure of your timeslot.
