Geraldines GFC Club Notes

Dan Corcoran, James Craven and Jim McEneaney were all part of the Louth Senior squad that narrowly lost to Longford in the opening round of the NFL. Dan started the match at corner back. Well done all and hopefully a better result in the next round.

The Seniors has their first run out on Friday night and came away victorious against a good Skerries team. Great to get out on the pitch and get some game time under the belts. A great effort from everyone and a few cobwebs well and truly dusted off.

The club will hold their Juvenile Registration Evening on Friday 8th February in the clubhouse from 6.30 – 7.30 pm. Please do come along as this is a great opportunity to speak with your coaches and get an idea about the plans the club has for the year ahead. There will be a short presentation following the registration window, with spot prizes available throughout the evening also.

We continue with our community walk at the club this Thursday in conjunction with Operation Transformation and the Ireland Lights Up initiative. Last week saw 120 registered walkers. Please join us with registrations from 6.45 pm and refreshments served in the kitchen afterwards.

Our Schools Development Programme continues this Friday in both St. Francis and St. Fursey’s schools. Our thanks to Frank Lynch & Company, https://twitter.com/FrankLynchCo , for their generous support.

Our Juvenile Winter Development Programme has now come to an end for all those involved from U12 and below. For all older age group it continues for another 3 weeks from this Saturday @ DkIT Sports. Please check with your coaches if unsure of your timeslot.
