Gers 6-8 (26) Joes 5-10 (25) - u14 Divsion 2A League Final

Having only met recently in the final league fixture of the season, the Gers and Joes renewed rivalry again in the League Final of the Division 2A. It was a festival of football in Darver with 6 U14 finals taking place across the various divisions. Large crowds took advantage of the evening sunshine and came out to support their teams.

The Gers got off to a positive start taking some early points but the Joes came back into it strongly. Gers got a couple of quick goals to build up a lead but the Joes kept in touch with a number of successive points. Second half it was neck and neck with the two teams swapping the lead throughout the half. The Gers went 4 points in front towards the end only to concede a goal ensuring the tightest of finishes. The lads held on to the final whistle winning by the narrowest of margins. Great support from parents, families, friends and club officers. Thanks to everyone for coming out. It was a great start for a very exciting week for the boys who now head to the Feile in Leitrim at the weekend.
