Gers Boys finish off u15 Div 3 League campaign

Gers finished off their league campaign on Wednesday night in McGeough Park with a tough encounter against a fine O’Raghallaighs u15 side. The older and physically stronger visitors dominated for most of the game on the scoreboard but the Gers team, short many players due to holidays and injuries, kept plugging away until the final whistle. Some resolute defending and fine interplay meant the heads never dropped and we had plenty of possession just found it difficult to put our possession into scores. Well done lads on excellent teamwork, attitude and effort. Overall the Division 3 campaign was a success with valuable games and finishing in 6th place just 3 points off qualifying for the semi final.
