A home fixture seen the boys put it up to last years championship finalists. Playing against a breeze in the first half, the Joes got the first 4 scores before our boys settled into the game. Scores from Lynch, O'Kane and Kerley settled the nerves. Unfortunately late goals just before the break seen the Joes leading by 8 points at half time.

Second half wind was nothing more than a weak breeze but a different Gers attitude saw 3 unanswered points and the greater aggressive spirit, Broe, Fanning, Taggart all battling ferociously in defence and starting many of the attacks, Fee, Kerley and Tinsley all battled to the last.

Plenty to be worked on and a lot of pleasing football played. Well done to everyone involved 👏
