Gers U15 boys qualify for Semi Final

Gers u15 boys gave another fine performance to defeat Newtown Blues in the Championship Quarter Final.

Gers took control of the contest early on scoring a fine team goal in the first minute and kept tagging on the points as the lads showed great work ethic, shooting some fine scores. The tenacity in the tackle and overall team play was impressive as we scored 2 more goals to build up a half time lead of 3-12 to 0-03.

In the second half Newton Blues fought back with a goal of their own and whilst we added 4 more the Blues never gave up and were valiant in their efforts throughout.

It was great to see so many Gers supporters in McGeough Park to cheer on the lads.

Final score 7.13 to 1.07. Well done to the full panel.

Semi final is due to be played Saturday (23rd) v O’Connells/Stabannon/John Mitchels.
