The Geraldines lost to Cooley in a competitive Louth LGFA senior B championship group match on Sunday afternoon.

With a strong wind, it was the proverbial game of two halves. A point at halftime led the Gers but should have been further ahead after hitting the woodwork twice and several other near misses.

The Peninsula girls were more clinical with the wind and a scoring burst from them in the last 10 minutes saw them run out winners by 2-11 to 2-04.

Our girls put in a battling performance and will build on this in their remaining games as they progress further in the competition.
