Gers U10 Boys, Spring Blitz 3, 2nd March 2024 in DKIT Sport.

The Gers U10 boys travelled to DKIT Sport on Saturday morning to participate in the third of the 5 spring Blitzes that Louth Coaching and games have organised. We had the biggest attendance to date this year with 25 players attending. Thankfully we were able to field 3 teams, ensuring all players got significant and equal game time.

Our teams played against Dowdalshill, Kilkerkerly Emmett’s, Glyde Rangers, St. Kevins, St. Joesphs and Mattock Rangers. Our emphasis on training in preparation for the blitzes is on ball retention, specifically, pass and move, tackling and finding space.

We are happy with the lad’s performances and once again, the lads acquitted themselves well. They passed the ball well into space and fought like tigers to get it back if we lost it.

Training resumes on Wednesday 6th March at 6 pm in DKIT Sport. Our next blitz is Saturday 9th March at 10 am.
