Gers U10’s Blitz, Kilkerley Emmets 22nd April 2024
The Gers U10 Boys travelled to Kilkerley Emmets on Monday evening to participate in their first outdoor blitz of the year.
The first blitz originally scheduled for 2 weeks ago was cancelled owing to unplayable pitches in Tallanstown.
22 players togged out, and all the lads were delighted to be back outside, as we had been training indoors since February.
Our two teams played good games against Kilkerley Emmets and Cu Chulainn Gaels.
Our emphasis with the lads is on getting the head up when we get the ball, moving it quickly to our forwards, and working on our tackling to get it back if we lose it. The lads grew into their games and finished really well. They took some really good scores, and put into play the instructions from their coaches.
Our training resumes on Wednesday evening 24th April at 6 pm in the Geraldines.
