Sometimes cliches are useful!
Probably the most used best describes what truly was "a game of two halves" for our u13s first championship match versus the St. Kevins on Wednesday at home. Down at halftime by 2.4 to 1 point the second half was only meant to offer the hope of a much better team performance. But the lads came away not only with their honour but with a great result too winning 5.4 to 2.8. The full-back line who kept us alive in the first half led the way again after the break. The entire team collectively delivered on their abilities and fully deserved the reward of a big second-half win to ensure important points in our first championship game. Special thanks to the lads who joined us from the 12s playing a vital part in the game. Our Round 2 game is away to St. Brides, on Wednesday, July 31.
Thanks to all parents/guardians for their support.
