Everyone at the Geraldines would like to wish our senior players Holly Lambe Sally and Eilis Hand the best of luck as they take to the field in Croke Park this Sunday in the TG4 All Ireland Junior Final.
Throw in is at 11:45 and we are delighted to say a bus is on its way from Haggardstown to support our girls on the day.
Holly and Eilis have been instrumental in getting Louth to this point with Eilis in particular having to overcome a serious injury she suffered last year to fight her way back into the side and to get back to full fitness.
The Wee County have won this competition on three occasions, last in 2019, before that it was 2015 and 1998. Hanging dropped down from Intermediate last year they are hungry to go right back up.
This will be the fifth occasion Fermanagh will contest a Junior Final, for Fermanagh, Louth prepare for their seventh. It has all the hallmarks of a classic, and with our members from the club behind them to support our girls in this important fixture for ladies football we really look forward to seeing them play on the biggest and best stage of GAA football.
Both Eilis and Holly have not only been outstanding players for Louth but they have been incredible role models for every player at our club from those kicking their first ball in the Nursery right up to their team mates on the senior panel. We hope they continue to inspire those to follow in their footsteps with their commitment and drive.
We are incredibly proud of them and wish them nothing but the best for the final.
Bring it home girls you have a club, parish and community behind you.
