Geraldines GFC took the opportunity after our Senior Game against the Dreadnots to recognise one of our stalwarts. At the club AGM John Lynch was appointed honorary president of the club. John comes from a family steeped in the history of our club. A teak tough defender on the pitch, John had a long career with the club and has given a lifetime of service off the field. He has held most positions within the club and was the last Geraldines clubman to hold the position of County Board Chairman. Both Johns sons played with the club & his legacy continues with several grandchildren currently playing.
Congratulations John on this award. It is the greatest honour we can bestow on our members and is fully merited.
