Eamonn’s men were out again on Friday v Ardee St Marys. In this top of the table clash, the Gers would snatch a draw with literally the last kick of the game. A goal dispatched with considerable power from the boot of Conor McGowan after a goal mouth scramble left the side’s level on 1-6 apiece. We play Cooley on Friday night in what will be the main pitches opening match after all the work carried out last year. It would be great to get as many supporters out as possible out to cheer the team on and to have a look at the improvements made first hand. Throw in is at 8 pm, Friday 3rd May.

Our Senior Ladies continued their winning ways with a strong performance against St. Pats. Great effort and well done to all.

Well done to all of the Gers players who represented our County Teams over the past week; Ava, Emma, Kellie, Holly, Sarah and Rebecca in the Louth Ladies Minor Leinster Championship semi-final victory over Wicklow, also to our own John Carr who is part of the Minor management team; KerryAnn, Leah, Neasa and Sophie who were part of the U16 Louth squad that was victorious against Westmeath; Donal Leavy with the Louth Minors in their Leinster Championship win against Kilkenny; Brian, Beanón and Daniel in the Louth U16 matches v Limerick and Laois; and Josh and Tom in their U14 match v Westmeath.

Our U14 girls gave a gritty and resolute performance last Monday winning 5.14 – 2.3 against St Fechins, well done girls. Our U16 boys league journey continued during the week and they recorded a good win against St Kevins/Dreadnots; 4-17 to 3-4. We had many other teams in action during the past week as well as a number of underage blitzes going on, so a big well done to all who wore the Gers colours with pride and distinction. Pictures and reports from all of our games and blitzes can be found on our social media platforms.

Our Gers Bears for 4-6 year olds is back up and running and will take place every Friday evening from 6 – 6.45 pm.

Our jackpot wasn’t won this week so now stands at €4,000.00. Congrats to those who won match 3 numbers and share €200.00. Thank you to those who continue to support The Geraldines Club Lotto; we continue to improve our facilities for our members and for all the Parish to enjoy.
