Geraldines GFC Club notes Monday 27 May

No senior action this week due to Louth’s Senior Championship campaign. Well done to Gers Trio James, Jim and Dan for their contribution to Louth v Dublin on Saturday in Portlaoise; unfortunately Dublin were worthy winners on the day. The Gers were well represented in the crowd as well as our u10 boys continuing their ‘Gers on Tour’ supporting the Red and White.

Our Juniors took on St Patricks on Friday night, unfortunately Gers narrowly lost in a very competitive match.

Our senior ladies A & B teams played this week, with the A Team continuing their great start to the season, unfortunately our B Team were beaten in their outing.

We have been drawn against St Mochtas and St Brides in Group A of the Halpenny Travel Senior Ladies Championship.

Our juveniles continue to make the club proud with great numbers attending training and everyone giving matches 110%. Please check our social media platforms for detailed games, scores, photos and reports.

The u16 boys had a busy week with a game V O’Raghillilys on Monday evening where they would register a great victory on a score line of 5-11 to 2-9. Friday saw Cooley come to Haggardstown with the boys losing by a point in a great battle, final score 3-15 to 4-11.

Our u14 boys top Division 2 with a win against St. Kevins/Lannleire by 6-9 to 1-7 on Wednesday night. They play the Joes this coming week in the final round of matches.

Our u14 girls put in a huge effort to come away with the victory against Cooley on Monday evening in Division 1, 1-7 to 1-2. Not to be out done, our Division 2 girls recorded a great result against a very good Clans side on Wednesday evening, 5-8 to 2-8. Well done all.

Congratulations to our 7 boys who were part of the victorious De La Salle team that won the Lennon Shield.

Our Lotto is now €5,000.00. Well done to the 3 match 3 winners who won €200.00 between them last week. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our club lotto; these funds are vital to the club to maintain and upgrade our club facilities for all the parish to enjoy.

Bookings are now being taken for the Louth GAA Kelloggs Cúl Camps; please note our own club dates, Monday 01 July – Friday 05 July. Please book early to avoid any disappointment. Bookings can be made via www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie
