Great news coming through this evening. Geraldines have been confirmed winners of the Irish Life healthy steps challenge in Leinster. Thank you so much to all 17 of our walkers who spent the month of June trying to rack up as many steps as possible.

The victory sees the club receive a 2500 euro voucher from O Neills. The successful team was Rita Moriarity, Paula Lavin, Padraig Hamill, Colm Prendergast, Colm Mackin, Mary Byrne, Damian Hughes, Susan Gernon, Aggi Perkowski, Helen Ryan, Stephanie McCann, Brenda Rogers, Briege Craven, Fionnuala Cafferty, Dave Broe, Eamonn Dunne and Brian Cafferty.

Great credit is due to each and ever member of the team but particular credit is due to Rita Moriarty who had the highest number of steps in Leinster at 1217840. Also credit to Paula Lavin, our senior ladies manager, who amassed 1,110,266 steps, one of only 6 to get more than one million steps.
