GERALDINES GFC CLUB NOTES MONDAY 31 AUGUST 2020

The Senior men drew 2-11 t 2-11 with the O’Raghallaighs on a wet and windy Tuesday evening in Darver to make it 2 draws from 2 matches in their championship. They have progressed to the quarter finals where they have drawn Ardee St. Marys with the tie being played on Sunday at 3pm.

Our junior men play Sean OMahonys in a challenge on Tuesday away with throw in at 7pm.

Our Senior Ladies made it 5 from 5 in the championship with wins over the Fechins and the Blues in the past week. The final scores were Gers 3-09 Fechins 0-02 and Gers 2-14 Blues 2-04. They will play Roche in their championship semi final on Sunday 13th September.

Our Division 3 Ladies had a great tussle with neighbours the Brides on Friday night and were unlucky to lose by 4-13 to 1-14. Next up is a round 5 league fixture on Friday night away to the O’Raghaillaighs/Plunketts.

There was plenty of action in our juvenile section this past week and plenty more for this coming week. As always you can get all up to date information on our social media platforms and we would encourage all parents and supporters to sign up to a new App called ClubZap which contains details of all club news including fixtures.

We wish all of our teams the best of luck and please remember to adhere to the government guidelines with regard to attendances at matches.

Thank you to all who have volunteered their time behind the scenes to ensure our return to football has been as smooth as possible and that we adhere to the guidelines required of us.
