April's All Time Starting 15 is Barry Renaghan. Man of the match and scorer of the winning point in 2005 intermediate final. Also of Pop Idol fame 😂 Please see reasons below ⬇️⬇️ Enjoy!
1. Gerry Reenan - Sing us the song of a Strimmerman, Gerry looked after me for years with work off the pitch and looked after us on the pitch big time in 2005.
2. Paudie Hoey - Minded me like a child for years, always drove past the Geraldines to pick me up for training and Paudie should have been the m.o.m in 2005.
3. Paddy McGuiness - how was someone so slow so good? :) I remember Paddy telling me before the final, "Bazzo the won't score more than 10 so score 11", we won 11-10. Legend of a man.
4. Ollser - I hated when he was marking me in training & I'm glad I never had to play against him.
5. Nicky - I'd never have heard the end of it if I didn't pick him, :)
6. Gerry Hoey - the sweetest left foot and passer of the ball that I've seen.
7. John Neary - I remember watching John train in P.J Carrols in the John Flood days (Rip) & thinking this is lad is going to be good, I wasn't wrong.
8. John Sands - I'll second what Paddy said, imagine if he trained he'd probably have stopped Joe Sheridan robbing Louth.
9. Eddie Smyth - the man had some leap on him, hands like shovels and would put his head where I wouldn't put me boot.
10. Jim McEnaney - after playing with Jim in his first championship game I expedited my Oz imigration plans.
11. Paudie Lynch - can't have a best Geraldines without a Lynch in it. For the record Whitey would be the manager too.
12. Shane Thornton- Had to include an ex Dublin/St. Judes player too.
13. Jo Jo Corcoran- I think the Geraldines are still looking for a regular penalty taker, I don't ever remember him missing, ever.
14. Ding Rogers - was great to play with Ding especially when he managed to stay on the field for the full game.
15. Emmet Duffy - had to include a fellow/former Aussie.
