Gers Whites took to the field Saturday morning in their Division clash with St Mary's in Ardee. The big pitch and warm conditions made for an attritional match. The Gers are on an upward trend improving game on game. This was a close affair which we lost out by a single score. It was a tireless performance by the midfield, half backs, and half forwards. On another day we could easily have won. The Marys defense must be commended for their play during the fourth quarter when we put them under pressure. Well done to our forwards who worked a lovely goal in the second quarter. But special mention to our full back line and goalie, who had a great game and kept a team who scored 9 goals in their last two games, to a single goal. Thanks too to Suzanne for keeping all male coaches in check and helping out.
