Gers U12 boys had a very entertaining match against a well organised St. Brides side in the summer sun in Knockbridge yesterday. The Gers lads had the better of early exchanges and led coming into the first water break. A few quick goals for the hosts in the 2nd quarter would be significant, and meant the Brides team led at half time. The 3rd quarter was a tight affair, with some great tackling, ball winning and passing moves by the Gers. Another couple of goals for the hosts after the second water break opened up further daylight but to their credit the Gers lads kept battling to the very end. There were some fine individual performances, and the team spirit and skill shown by each of the lads was great to see, maith sibh a ghasuraí 💪💪
