GERALDINES GFC CLUB NOTES MONDAY 21 JUNE 2021

There were no Senior Mens fixtures this week, although our Juniors were on the wrong end of a heavy defeat against Cooley in Division 4b.

Our Senior Ladies made it 3 from 3 with a convincing win over St. Mochtas. Both our Junior Ladies teams had fixtures on Friday night, with a win over Naomh Martin and a narrow defeat to Kilkerley.

Hard luck to Dan and Matt Corcoran and to Louth GAA on their narrow loss to Offaly in the Leinster Championship. The Louth Ladies had a great victory winning the Division 4 title against Leitrim. The Geraldines were well represented by Eilis, Rebecca and Holly. Congratulations and well done to all involved.

The Louth Minor boys got over the first hurdle in Leinster with a great win against Westmeath on Saturday. Well done to Mark Leavy and all of the squad and management, we wish you well in the next round v Laois. The Louth U16 girls had a good win v Longford in a challenge match on Saturday, the Gers quintet of Aoibhinn, Blessed, Brea and Karina all played their part.

All our underage teams are back training, with fixtures and blitz’s taking place for many. As always you can get all up to date information on our social media platforms and we would encourage all parents and supporters to sign up to ClubZap which contains details of all club news including all club fixtures.

Our Lotto is back and currently stands at €4800.00; please check our social media for details of the ways in which you can take part. We thank everyone who supports our club lotto; funds raised are essential to the running of our facilities for the entire parish to enjoy. Remember that you got to be in it to win it!

We continue to ask everyone who visits our grounds to adhere to the strict protocol we have in place and to be compliant as we endeavour to keep you all safe.

The Geraldines Skills Camp will run from 09-11Aug inclusive and is open to all from 7-18 years. Some of the confirmed coaches attending are Lauren Magee and Sinead Goldrick, Paddy Christie and Paddy Small, Liam Rafferty and Conor Meyler.
