U13 Boys Division 1 League Round 3

Geraldines U13 Boys hosted Glen Emmets in a fast paced even encounter on Wednesday night. The Gers started strong with a good point but Glen Emmets dominated next few mins and hit 1-01. However a mark of this squad is to keep going when things go against them and Gers hit back with 2 fine team goals and some good points to lead by 4 points at half time. Glen Emmets had the slight breeze at their backs in the 2nd half and reeled our lads in with some well taken points to go 3 ahead but another well worked Gers goal levelled things up close to the final water break.

Gers had 2 goal chances but couldn’t fully execute and Glen Emmets finished strong with 1-3 without reply to finish up winners. This was another fine performance from our lads against a physically bigger Emmets side. Every one of our 22 players on the night battled and fought for every ball, defended really well, midfield ran their heart out and all showed good team work in attacking for scores.

Training continues Friday and our next game is versus St. Patrick’s away next Wednesday.
