U13 Boys Division 1 League Round 4
Geraldines U13 Boys travelled to Pairc Eamoin in Lordship to take on St. Patrick’s on Wednesday night. The Pats started strong with 4 consecutive points, using the breeze to good effect but our Gers boys dominated next few mins and scored 4 excellent points with some great team work to level things up at the first water break.
Against the breeze the Gers struggled to get out of their defence at times and this ultimately led to 2 Pats goals before half time. The Pats were the physically bigger team and used this to good effect to score 3 more goals in the third quarter despite some good defending and excellent goalkeeping. Our Gers boys scored a goal themselves and continued to hit some fine points, which was a big positive to take from the game.
In the last quarter the Gers really got back into the game and kept working hard to hit 3 consecutive points to leave the final scoreline 5-8 to 1-10 to the Pats. All 23 players in our squad played their part and kept going to the end showing good attitude and commitment.
Our next game is versus Baile Talun away next Wednesday.
