GERS U-14 GIRLS GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS
The Geraldines U-14 girls got their championship ambitions back on track last night after two narrow away-day defeats to both Cooley and Kilkerley. When asked to step up to the mark against a very skilful Hunterstown team the girls delivered a commanding performance showing their accuracy in front of goals to deadly effect.
In a close first quarter there was little between the teams but the gers powered home three goals in the second quarter. By half tie they led by 8 points.
Once again in the third and fourth quarters they raised the green flag a number of times showing great composure in front of goals. There were great performances all over the pitch, all 20 showed great determination, support play and accurate passing throughout.
The girls were clinical in front of goals, taking most of their chances.
Next up is Mattock Rangers on Sunday.
Congratulations to all the girls from both Hunterstown and the Geraldines on such an enthralling encounter.
