Gers Girls U13 League Match Report-Monday 04 October

The girls continued on the fine form they showed the previous week. We were a little slower to get into our stride, due in no shortage to the tenacious competitive defending of the Fechins team. At the same time their goal seemed to have a forcefield around it as we hit the crossbar and the post three times during the first half. But we still managed to score 1-05 in the first half. For the second half we exploded into life straight from the throw in. Aoife S ran straight down the pitch past a number of challenges and fed the ball to Bianca to score to the net. Within two minutes Bianca found the net again. We played well throughout the second half to accumulate a final score of 6-10 to 1-01. All the previous week's scorers got their names on the scoresheet yet again and Phoebe and Ailish added their names to the list too. Well done to the two U12s Elizabeth and Ruby who played great. And well done to all the team who continue to improve their tackling and passing.
