On Saturday night our Senior secured their Senior championship status for next year with a 2 point win over Dundalk Gaels. A flying start for our men set the tone for the night, opening up a 4 point in the first 15 minutes.

Slick movement from the Gers before halftime gave us the all important goal from Fearghal McDonald and a convincing 6 point lead.

The Gaels turned the tide in the 2nd half, continually chipping away at the Gers lead getting within 3 points. With nerves setting in amongst the Gers supporters, Fearghal McDonald got his 2nd point and a vital point with 10 minutes remaining.

Our men held on after constant pressure in the dying minutes to secure a 2 point win and Senior Championship status.
