GERALDINES GFC CLUB NOTES

Our Senior Ladies made it 3 in a Row with a gritty performance in the Senior Championship final against St. Fechins on Sunday, final score was 1-07 to 0-05. Huge congrats to the players and mentors on a magnificent achievement and everyone connected with the club is very proud of you all.

In our juvenile section we had 2 finals over the weekend. Our u12 boys came up just short against a better St. Joseph’s side on Friday evening and would be gallant losers by 4-11 to 2-10. It was a great effort by the boys and it’s been a very good season for them. There’ll be more finals to come. Our u15 boys had a great win over a St. Mochtas/St. Brides combination to secure the B Championship. This was the curtain raise to the Junior final and the boys played some great football in difficult conditions to win by 4-12 to 0-06. Well done to all of the players and mentors for both sides and a huge thanks to our supporters who turned out in numbers for both games.

Our Lotto jackpot is steadily climbing. This week it stands at €8800.00; please check our social media for details of the ways in which you can take part. We thank everyone who supports our club lotto; funds raised are essential to the running of our facilities for the entire parish to enjoy. Remember that you have got to be in it to win it!
