Junior Men advanced to the semi final of 2A Championship after a hard fought victory last Friday night.

A quick fire start had the Gers leading by 5 points courtesy of a goal from Beanón Corrigan just at the water break. Gaels responded with 4 points without reply but points from Conor McGowan and Beanón Corrigan had us leading by 3 at half time.

In the 2nd half the Gaels got on top outscoring the Gers 8 points to 5 points with a last gasp Paul Molloy point bringing the game to extra time.

Nothing could separate the two teams in the 1st half of extra time as Paul Molloy traded points with the Gaels, scoring 2 a piece.

The 2nd period the Gaels got a point straight from the throw in to lead by a point but our lads heads never dropped. A point from Conor McGowan leveled the game once again. However with a minute remaining Paul Molloy got the winning score for the Gers to set a semi final showdown with Ardee St. Marys.

Semi Final is this Friday at 8pm in the Geraldines.
