U13 Gers Girls v St.Kevins After a week off due to the withdrawal by Mattock last time out, we resumed our football on Sunday morning versus St.Kevins. The last time we played them we had a narrow victory, but there was no repeat this time as we won well on a scoreline of 7-12 to 0-03. The team is on a good run of results as we near the end of the competition. There is just one league game left v St.Pats next week. The coaches would like to thank all 37 girls that turned out for the team over the past 8 matches and the great work that the players have done in training.

In the match the blocking and tackling by Ailish, Megan and Julie was outstanding. In the first half Muireann and Heather scored lovely points. Laura produced a fantastic performance throughout with good points and link up play. She was closely followed by our captain on the day who covered every blade of grass. Julie and Sarah linked up for a lovely goal. And the two Aoife's did likewise in the second half. Ava scored a goal with her left foot that was all about tenacity. Blaithin and Kate combined very well, and Phoebe came to the fore during the second half. All told this win could not have been achieved without the play by Anna, Leah, Meabh, Meadhbh, Zoe and Abbie. On the day the scorers were Laura 1-04, Aoife F 3-01, Aoife S 0-02, Sarah 1-01, Ava 1-00, Phoebe, Zoe, Muireann, and Heather 1 point each.
