The Gers U9s boys were in competitive action on a lovely warm sunny evening at the first all county blitz held in Darver lastnight. The Gers fielded two strong teams with 20 players in total pulling on the green Jersey and played aginst St Mary's, St Nicholas's, St Kevins, Newtown Blues, Naomh Martin and Oliver Plynketts. The boys continued to show huge improvements since their last blitz, with some amazing blocking, near hand tackling and some excellent score taken. All the training is really paying off with the players have improved greatly across the board.
All players received equal game time, and all had a really enjoyable evening. It was topped of with drinks, crisps and bars kindly sponsored by Shane and Orla McGuinness. Well done to all the boys
