GERALDINES GFC CLUB NOTES - MONDAY 27 JUNE 2022
The Senior Men welcomed Ardee St. Marys to McGeough Park on Friday evening. Despite a good first half performance by the Gers, aided by the strong wind, the sides would go in level pegging at 1-09 to 3-03. The Marys finished the game strongly, especially in the final quarter, winning on a score line of 3-17 to 1-11. The men will play the Sean O’Mahonys on Saturday in Round 11 of the league. The match will take place in the Gers with a 7.30 pm throw in.
The Senior Ladies made it 3 from 3 with a home win over the Brides on Sunday morning in Round 3 of Division 1, final score was 0-14 to 1-07. On Thursday night the ladies play the Mochtas in Round 4, throw in @ 7.30 pm in the Gers. Friday night sees the ladies out again with a Junior B fixture against the Brides, throw in @ 7.30 pm in the Gers. Then on Sunday morning @ 11.30 am the ladies will play the Cuchulainn Gaels in the Sunday League Competetion, also taking place in McGeough Park.
Congrats to all Gers players who represented their County over the weekend. All in the club are very proud of you.
