Our U15 boys, sponsored by Sports Direct Ireland played St. Colmcilles GAA Club from Meath on Wednesday evening in their last challenge game in preparation for championship. 29 players togged out with three injured players also in attendance and several players away on holidays.
The game was played in 4 x 20 minutes so all players got plenty of game time. The game was extremely competitive throughout but played in a sporting manner.
There were some really impressive individual displays and some excellent passages of team play from the Gers, especially when they moved the ball on early.
It was great to see injured players turning out to support their team mates and special mention to Aswanth who broke his collar bone after falling awkwardly in last game against Burren. Everyone wishes him a speedy recovery and he will be much missed after a series of impressive performances.
Next up is 1st Louth GAA U15 achampionship group game at home to St Oliver Plunkett's/Wolfe Tones next Monday at 7pm.
