Well done to u14 boys for a great match on Saturday evening in Ardee.
Everyone worked really hard and all the boys really stepped up to keep things tight in the first half- it was literally an uphill battle but all played really well and laid a great foundation to build on.
Great play also by the lads coming on in second half to take the level up again - lifting the lads around them to a very impressive winning performance on our first day out this year.
Not to distract from a great team performance will all lads doing their part but a special mention to the stellar Seán Spaight scoring 2-6 in a second half appearance with lots of great assists from Roan Norton who also scored an impressive 1-5
Aaron O’Donoghue put in a huge shift in midfield contributing 1-1 despite, like a number of the boys having had commitments earlier in the day. Joe Lynch and Roan Carroll were also lively adding points to the scoreboard.
James Scanlon showed great leadership & team focus as an impressive stand In goalkeeper. He and Jack Kavanagh led a solid defensive group with Oran Minnock doing very well on his first day. Thanks too to young Ryan Mulholland who injected significant pace to the second half attack.
Tús maith, leath na h-oibre!
Next league match in Gers on Saturday v Naomh Martin.
