After a wintery day, the sun peeped out just in time for the Gers boys u10 blitz in Kilkerley on Monday evening.

The boys enjoyed getting out on the grass for this their second outdoor blitz of the year having competed indoors during the Spring.

Two Gers teams took to the field on the night, all delighted to be welcoming some new teammates aboard. With heavy rain earlier in the day, conditions were tough underfoot.

Undeterred, there was a good variety of well executed skills on display from both Gers teams with some great blocks, good tackling, strong fielding and precise passing on show.

Both teams competed well against strong, well organised teams from Cuchulainn Gaels, Clan na Geal and Kilkerley Emmets.

Training continues on Thursday evenings for this ever-improving, great group of boys.
