The buachaillí f14 had their first fixture of the U15 div.3 league in Haggardstown on Monday.
The Gers lads welcomed Sean O’Mahony’s to McKeogh park on a fine evening. Once against the home side were missing a significant number of players had their work cut out for them against a strong visiting team.
The away side dominated in parts and were far more clinical in front of goal than their hosts.
Jacub Perkowski had a busy evening between the sticks, before retiring early due to a knock he received. Sean Garvey, Ross Nordon and Sam Murphy tackled hard and did their best to keep the opposition at bay. Oscar Conway, Danny de Lasa and Roan Carroll we busy in the half back line and Oscar registered a fine point in the second half.
James Scanlon and Jack Kavanagh worked tirelessly in midfield, and competed well on a difficult evening.
Cillian McKevitt, Hugo Nolan, Conal Gaughran and Patrick Muckian were ever busy and kept trying until the end, with Cillian scored a neat second half point after some nice interplay.
Roan Norton, Conal Bowden and Oscar Little looked dangerous up front, and Roan finished the evening with 2 well taken points.
Thanks to U15 lads Conal and Oscar who were drafted in at short notice. GRMA
