Following their midweek victory over St. Brides in Haggardstown the Geraldines Senior Ladies earned their second win of the league season in the Louth LGFA Division One with a hard-fought victory over Cooley Kickhams.

Paula Lavin's side came from behind at half-time to defeat Cooley with the tie sealed with a last-minute goal from substitute Karina Corcoran.

The Gers got off to the best possible start scoring three points without reply as Zoe McGahon, Rebecca Baldwin and Aislinn Connor got their names on the scoresheet but Cooley responded by scoring four points without reply to have a slender one-point lead at halftime.

Like the first half, the Geraldines began the restart stronger with a fine point from Zoe McGahon before that score was followed up with points from Aislinn Connor and substitute Karina Corcoran.

Cooley collected another score before Zoe McGahon kept the Gers ahead with another point before Karina Corcoran recorded her second score of the game.

Fionnula Cafferty got on the scoresheet as she scored with a long-range effort before just before full-time Karina Corcoran scored the game's only goal to put the game beyond doubt beating the Cooley keeper from a free kick.
