Our Junior girl's side hosted Cooley Kickhams in the Senior B league on Friday night in Haggardstown in what turned out to be an entertaining contest between the sides.

The Geraldines edged the 1st half leading by two points as they went into the break with a 2-04 to 2-02 score thanks to two goals from the clinical Zoe Stewart in the forward line. This was complemented by solid defensive work from both Beth Hughes and Grainne Finnegan while Eimear Fee and Aislinn Connor worked tirelessly from midfield.

The second half was an end-to-end affair with Cooley getting vital scores in the last 10 minutes to run out 4-11 to 3-9 winners.

Zoe did completed her hat-trick with a cool finish and Louise Corcoran scored three points after coming on in the 2nd half.

Nessa Norton put in a strong defensive performance in the 2nd half, as did Grace Rodgers who moved into the back line as Faye Tinsley was forced off through injury.

Special mention goes to Ava Connor who filled in for the injured Anna Hughes in goal and had a great game.

This was another good team performance and next up for the side is at home to St Fechins this Friday at 7:30 pm.
