Gers Minors were back in action Wednesday night in round 6 of the league in a pulsating encounter against Baile Talún.

It was the classic game of two halves with the Gers lads 2-5 to 0-3 ahead at the break.
Suraj Akal and Padraic Fennessey had strong first half’s denying Baile Talún possession in defence which was complemented by the dominant midfield duo of Jamie Soraghan 0-2 and Oliver Begley 1-1.

To their credit Baile Talún came out strong in the second half closing the gap in the first 10 minutes.

Despite the momentum being with the combination side the Gers manufactured some excellent scores by man of the match Shayne Soraghan and the classy Cian Spaight.

The Gers rearguard was under attack late on conceding two goals despite the best efforts of Cian O’Donoghue who made an excellent full length save with the game in its dying embers.

It looked like Conall Taggart who split the posts from 45 meters had won it however Baile Talún equalised from a free from the last kick of the game.
