Gers U11’s V St. Fechins
The Gers U11s welcomed St. Fechins to the back pitch in McGeough Park, on a blustery and wet Friday evening where Storm Betty did her best to interrupt proceedings.
Playing with near gale conditions in the first half the lads took their scores well and always looked to feed the player in a better position. In the second playing against the wind, the lads managed the game really well and took their scores when the opportunities arose. Management were really happy with the lads this evening. It is apparent that they are applying what is being covered in their coaching sessions each week. The emphasis tonight was to move the ball quickly into space, support the runners, and to fight hard to get the ball back when we don’t have it. To that end the panel are developing really well.
Thank you to St. Fechins who travelled down for a game in far from ideal conditions, and to all of the Gers lads who played, and to their parents who no doubt went home soaked.
Training continues on Wednesday at 6.15.
